The Vision
It is my hope and passion that all women would see their value and beauty through the eyes of the One and only lover of their heart and soul, Jesus Christ. From the beginning, the enemy has worked overtime to destroy God’s chosen daughters. Satan knows that it was through the woman and her offspring that HE would be defeated and enmity would always be between them. He is the father of lies, and for generations women have had to fight for a place at God’s table. However, scripture shows, that Jesus, breaking all cultural norms and expectations, welcomed women to sit with Him and partake in His story.
A Bit About Me: I have always connected with the story of the “sinful woman” found in Luke 7. Like many, my journey with Jesus has had some bumps and detours. His love has always been steadfast and unchanging. He has always been gracious and kind, leading me back into His loving arms. Through every trial, temptation, failure and victory, He is lovingly refining me to look more and more like Him. He uses my messes to display a beautiful message and He wants to do the same for you.
Her Alabaster Heart: In Biblical times, an alabaster container was filled with valuable oil or perfume. It would then be broken at the feet of the man to whom the woman was betrothed . It was symbolic of her devotion and honor to him. Like a dowry, what is in the container gives it’s value. Alabaster, like our hearts, can be easily broken and cracked. In our love and worship towards God, we pour out our hearts praise at the feet of Jesus. That is our offering, our broken and contrite heart.
